Post Control Device

General information

The device is made to:

- Control the pointsman’s duty producing alert detecting the fact of the duty violation.

- Produce the alert when the alarms connected to the device respond or when the supply turns off.

- Confirm the fact that the device or alarms connected to it gave a respond.

The device can also be used in different branches of national economy to control the work of dispatchers, operators and so on.

The device can be used to control the pointsman’s duty as on twenty-four-hour duty, so as on duties with different shifts.

The device controls the pointsman’s duty by checking at random time his presence at the post.

The mode of forced short period stop of the check cycle is provided in the device. Then the check starts again.

The device is meant for work in connection with receiving controlling devices (RCD) and central observation posts (COP) which produce the alert signal when the alarm trail breaks (or the relay contacts break).

Power supply of the device is done by the direct-current source with nominal voltage of 12V and value of pulsation no more than 100mV (amplitude value).

The working mode of the device is 24-hours.

1. Basic technical characteristics

  • Supply voltage range 12±0,2 V;
  • Maximum current used in the 24-hours mode when controlling the pointsman duty is no more than 45 mA;
  • Maximum current used in other working mode when controlling the pointsman duty is no more than 55 mA;
  • Load capacity of the output contacts of the device relay:
  • Working voltage of the contacts – no more than 72V
  • Working voltage through the contacts – no more than 30mA

Dimensions of the indication unit 102-1/1 «» ( 25-7545.003-88) with the built-in device – no more than 55*55*24 mm

Weight of the indication alarm unit 102-1/1 «» ( 25-7545.003-88) with the built-in device – no more than 0.2 kg

Average operating time of the device – no less than 60000 hours

2. Message comprehension (number of messages) of the device is 5, they are:

  • Message “On”
  • Message “Norma”
  • Message “Pointsman’s Call”
  • Message “Pause”
  • Message “Alarm”

The device sends the message “On” with signal duration (10 ± 0.6) seconds when supply voltage is given by means of an interrupted LED lamp signal at frequency of 1Hz, the relay contacts are broken.

The device sends the message “Norma” when it works in the duty mode by means of shorting the relay contacts and the LED lamp is off.

The device sends the message “Pointsman’s Call” with signal duration (3 ± 0,01) minutes at random time during the period of 15-45 minutes (accuracy of time range is ± 0.01 minutes) by means of an interrupted LED lamp and sound signal at frequency of 1 Hz.

The device sends the message “Pause” with signal duration (5 ± 0.01) minutes after forced short-time stop of the check cycle by the pointsman by means of an interrupted LED lamp signal at frequency of 5 Hz.

The device sends the message “Alarm” if the pointsman is absent at the signal “Pointsman’s Call” or when the supply voltage is fed more than 0.01 seconds by means of breaking the relay contacts during (10±0,6) seconds and constant LED lamp signal during (15±0,01) minutes.

3. Probability of refusal leading to false response of the device in the duty mode is no more than 0.01 in 100 hours that corresponds the probability of absence the said refusal no less than 0.99 in 1000 hours.
